I currently work with OilWorld Group Limited, indigenous oil exploration, production, and marketing company in Nigeria. OilWorld Limited is the operator of Oil Producing License (OPL) 241 in the Nigeria Continental Shelf; as Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Company. I equally manage a construction company under the same chairmanship of Dr. Gbenga T. Olawepo, As General Manager of the company.
I was born in Offa, Nigeria on October 22, 1970. I was educated in Nigeria, graduated and qualified as an Accountant. I did my primary education at Model Primary School, Ilorin. Government Secondary School, Ilorin for my secondary education. Thereafter, I attended Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin and Federal Polytechnic, Offa for my Ordinary and Higher Diploma respectively.
I was privileged to start work earlier in life, even before I completed my tertiary education. With my earlier work engagement and thereafter, I was able to gain different perspectives on life beyond my immediate constituency and exposed to various culture and the reality of life.
In 1998, after my Youth Service, I joined private sector (Bentos Pharmaceutical Product Ltd) as Assistant Senior Accountant. Responsibilities here involved series of co-ordinations, supervisions and monitoring of financial and business activities of the company. I rose to the position of Senior Accountant before I left in 2001.
I was with Bentos Pharmaceutical Product Ltd until September, 2001, when I had to leave the company and joined OSCAR JAMES NIG LTD; Nail manufacturing and wire producing company in Ilorin, Lagos and Ibadan. I joined Oscar James Nig. Ltd in her Ibadan Manufacturing company as Chief Accountant and System Manager.
POLITICAL INVOLVEMENT
Between 1991 and 1993, I was ward PRO of Social Democratic Party (SDP) at Pake ward of Ilorin East LGA. Also, a local government Ex-officio of United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) between 1996 and 1997.
Prior to leaving Oscar James in Ibadan, I came to Kwara state, contested the position of Chairmanship and later Vice Chairmanship of Ilorin South Local Government Area of Kwara State under the then All Peoples Party (APP), in the year 2003.
My political inclination cuts across the State. I was the State Co-ordinator of Gbenga Olawepo Youth Vanguard, between November 2006 and December, 2010. In 2007, I equally vied for the position of Hon. member of the State House of Assembly under Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), but later stepped down for another aspirant (Hon. Bala Oniwara). I was Local Government collating agent for Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), at Ilorin South Local Government during 2007 general election. During the april, 2011 guber-election I was the State collating agent for Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), at INEC.
